entangled with the serpent
wrestling with the word
laughter echoes down hallowed halls
where ancient prayers were heard
the prying eyes of science
dissect, study, and observe
secrets of the alchemist
whose magic is obscured
mystics and philosophers
debate the nature of duality
good and evil, shadow and light
dueling perceptions of reality
Einstein’s ‘spooky action’
a quantum entanglement ‘at a distance’
confirms we have much to learn
of the mystery of our existence

debate the nature of duality
An apt phrase that sums up our current political reality. Very nice

An excellent poem, Sue. Science exists for the very reason that there is mystery. It is an ideal topic to write about. As your poem says, “the mystery of our existence.”
