Poetry ~ Fierce

i am an old house
fierce, proud,
steady, and strong
i lean into the wind
i may crack and whistle
i may splinter and moan
yet i will not waiver
i am the "people's" home
Old House in Wind 1906 – CF William Mielatz

recent events in our nation's capital
and this sketch by CF William Mielatz ,

Poetry ~ Your Muse

i am the doorway
to your next adventure

i am the moonbeam
shining on your desires

i am the stardust
illuminating your path

i am the magic
inspiring your creativity

i am all your possibilities
i am all that you find fascinating

if you believe in moonbeams,
stardust, and magic

believe in me

i am your muse

Poetry ~ The Dragon Tree

i created the dragon tree
on a canvas in the garden of Eden
wrapped in vines with leaves shaped
like coins and decorated with
cones, nuts, and seeds
i am the creator of all you see
and all that remains a mystery
i am the artist, the mystic,
creator of the dragon tree

My poem was inspired by today's NaPoWriMo prompt: write a poem based on Bosch's, "The Garden of Earthly Delights" you can find a tour of this amazing work here.
