Poetry ~ Love Letter

The day 12 NaPoWriMo prompt challenges us to write a Triolet poem. "These eight-line poems involve repeating lines and a tight rhyme scheme. The repetitions and rhymes can lend themselves to humorous poems, as well as to poems expressing dramatic or sorrowful moods." My poem is more in the sorrowful moods category.
i am the love letter you never read
written for a dreamer a lifetime ago
confession of the heart, not of the head
i am the love letter you never read
composed of all that was never said
the words of a love you'll never know
i am the love letter you never read
written for a dreamer a lifetime ago

Poetry ~ Silence Never Lies

“Remember me?” his letter began.

“Of course,” I responded pen in hand.
“Where have you been? You sent no word.”

“In another land. I thought you’d heard.”

“No, only silence, loud and clear. “

“Sorry, my darling, but now I’m here.”

“No! I don’t need a lover who runs and hides. Your silence was my answer and silence never lies.”
