Poetry ~ The Still of a Winter White

~

When the snow falls in the hinterlands

and I find myself drawn to the winter wood

I ponder the state of earthly affairs and believe

that there is much to discover from a winter white

from the forest and the stillness of a winter tree

where solitude and absence of the noise of life

allow the soul to rejoice and find peace

here in the stillness of a winter white I inhale the joy of life

and exhale a world of woes purified by the trees

so I may begin anew, the state of earthly affairs

with my mind free from the noise of life

and find peace in the still of a winter white

and wish peace to all of you

Snow on the homestead ~ wishing peace to all of you

Poetry ~ Entanglement

~

entangled with the serpent

wrestling with the word

laughter echoes down hallowed halls

where ancient prayers were heard

the prying eyes of science

dissect, study, and observe

secrets of the alchemist

whose magic is obscured

mystics and philosophers

debate the nature of duality

good and evil, shadow and light

dueling perceptions of reality

Einstein’s ‘spooky action’

a quantum entanglement ‘at a distance’

confirms we have much to learn

of the mystery of our existence

Poetry ~ The Passage

some say, the sweetness of time
is to enjoy its passage
yet i want to harness this moment
and not let go

the past wants me back
the future won’t wait
but here and now is where it’s at

oh, how i will savor

the sweetness of time's passage
with my presence
